Gujarat Tourism, celebrated for its vibrant culture and thriving wildlife, affirmed its leadership in nature-based tourism at the Global Wildlife Fair 2025 (October 10–12, New Delhi). We gratefully acknowledge Gujarat Tourism for its dynamic participation and unwavering support. The department captivated visitors with a beautifully designed booth that vividly showcased the state’s diverse wildlife destinations—from the majestic Asiatic lions of Gir and the wild ass and flamingo flocks of the Rann of Kutch to the bird-rich wetlands of Nal Sarovar and the leopard habitats of Jessore. The booth served as a visual gateway to Gujarat’s ecological wonders, drawing strong interest from international delegates and travel professionals. Gujarat Tourism further elevated the Fair by sponsoring the Inaugural Networking Dinner, which featured a graceful performance of traditional Gujarati music and dance, seamlessly blending cultural pride with a clear emphasis on natural heritage. In a landmark moment, the department sponsored and presented the Gujarat Wildlife Awards, honouring five exceptional individuals—Eesha Munshi, Urmil Jhaveri, Jumma Bhai, Dr. Dhaval Vargiya, and Shabbir Malek—for their outstanding contributions to wildlife tourism through guiding, photography, birding, community enterprise, and lifetime achievement. Through its immersive booth, cultural showcase, and recognition of grassroots champions, Gujarat Tourism powerfully demonstrated that when wildlife is placed at the heart of travel, the state doesn’t just participate—it leads.
