Oil India Limited: A Catalyst for owering Youth Careers in Ecotourism at the Global Wildlife Fair 2025
At the Global Wildlife Fair 2025 (October 10–12, New Delhi), where global leaders gathered to shape the future of wildlife and sustainable travel, Oil India Limited (OIL) stood out as a catalyst for youth careers in ecotourism.
Understanding that the growth of responsible tourism hinges on skilled, passionate, and innovative young professionals, OIL took a strategic step by sponsoring the Fair’s Youth Education Lecture Series. This initiative provided students and aspiring entrepreneurs from across India free access to world-class insights from leading voices in the field.
Keynotes by Dr Gana Damba Gantemur, Dr David Fennell, and Hitesh Mehta explored entrepreneurship, guiding skills, and careers in conservation, supported by experts Timothy Teo, Nipatpong Chuan Chuen, Samir Thapa, Prabha Gautam, and others. Afternoon discussions led by R.P. Singh, Raj Basu, Dhruvam Desai, Marta Saya, and Prof. Jennifer Chan Kim Lian covered conflict resolution, community tourism, innovation, sustainability, and interpretation. The sessions concluded with the signing of a Letter of Intent, certification, and the presentation of opportunities for Asian Ecotourism Network membership.
Through this support, OIL demonstrated that industry can play a transformative role in nurturing talent—not just by creating jobs, but by building pathways into the ecotourism economy. By investing in education and access, OIL is helping turn youthful enthusiasm into viable, future-ready careers that celebrate India’s natural heritage while driving inclusive growth.
Oil India Limited’s presence at the Global Wildlife Fair 2025 sends a powerful message: sustainability is not the sole responsibility of NGOs or governments—it is a shared mandate.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Oil India Limited—not only for powering the Fair’s vision, but for empowering the next generation of ecotourism leaders.
