Description
In the heartland of India lies the magical land that is Bandhavgarh National Park. Most renowned for harboring large populations of the Royal Bengal Tigers, Tiger sightings at Bandhavgarh are unlike any other park. Named after the Bandhavgarh Fort that now stands inside the park, Bandhavgarh National Park has one of the highest tiger densities in India. The Maharaja of Rewa originally used the area as a hunting ground, and it became a national park in 1968.
Apart from tigers, the park also boasts a healthy population of leopards, sloth bears, and other mammals, as well as over 250 species of birds. Besides Tigers, the park also plays host to a plethora of other animal species, including Hanuman Langur, Sambhar, Nilgai, Wild Boar, and Muntjac, to name a few. There are a few wild elephants also in the park that have migrated in the recent years from the neighbouring states.
October to March is the best time to visit the park as the weather is pleasant for wildlife viewing. We can organize your excursions to the village.
