Tadoba National Park, part of the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve, is in central India, in the state of Maharashtra. It is Maharashtra’s oldest and largest national park and is famous for having one of the highest densities of tigers in India. The name of the park, Taru, comes from a local god. Tadoba was established as a national park in 1955.
